Troubleshooting

“No supported images found”

BatchResize Image only processes JPG, PNG, WebP, and TIFF files.

If the folder contains HEIC, RAW, GIF, or BMP files, convert them first.

The Resize button stays disabled

The button is disabled until:

  • an input folder is selected
  • the folder contains at least one supported image
  • the current resize settings are valid

Examples:

  • in Custom mode, width or height must be set
  • in Constrain mode, the constrain value must be valid
  • in Draw Template mode, the crop template must be defined before running

Crop Focus controls are missing

This is expected unless cropping is actually relevant.

Crop focus only appears or activates when:

  • you are in Custom or Preset mode
  • both width and height are defined
  • Fit is set to Crop to Fill

If Contain or Maintain AR is selected, there is no crop to control.

The preview does not look like the output I expected

Check these points:

  • Contain keeps the whole image and adds background padding
  • Crop to Fill trims overflow to hit exact dimensions
  • Fill stretches the image
  • Draw Template works best on consistent batches

Use Previous and Next in the preview panel to test more than one image from the folder.

The batch crop looks inconsistent across files

This usually means the source images are not framed consistently enough for one crop rule.

Try one of these:

  • switch from Draw Template to Anchor
  • use Contain instead of Crop to Fill
  • split the folder into smaller, more consistent batches

Some files failed while others succeeded

Check the Activity Logs panel for the exact filename and error.

Common causes:

Problem Likely cause
Unsupported image buffer file is corrupt or not a real image
Output write failed permission issue, sync folder issue, or full disk
Missing input file file moved or deleted during processing

The app will not start or crashes on launch

  • Make sure you are on Windows 10 or later
  • Reinstall from the Microsoft Store
  • Check for pending Windows updates

If the issue persists, open an issue and include what happened.

Output folder will not open

The Open Output Folder button opens the subfolder inside your input folder.

If Explorer does not open, navigate to it manually. The default output subfolder name is resized.
