Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to fix them.
No files found in folder
- Make sure the folder contains supported files:
.md,.txt,.docx,.jpg,.jpeg,.png,.webp, or.gif - Files inside subfolders are not included — only files directly in the selected folder
- Check that files have the correct extension and are not hidden
Conversion fails for a specific file
- Try opening the file in another app to confirm it is not corrupted
- For markdown files, very unusual syntax or deeply nested structures may not render correctly — simplify the file and retry
- For images, confirm the file is not truncated or in an unsupported variant (e.g. CMYK JPEG)
- The app logs each file’s result in the conversion log — check there for the specific error
Combined PDF is in the wrong order
Files merge in alphabetical filename order. If the order is wrong:
- Add numeric prefixes to filenames:
01_intro.md,02_chapter.md - Use zero-padded numbers to ensure correct sort:
01,02,10rather than1,2,10
Images appear too small or blurry
- The app scales images to fit the page width at screen resolution
- For sharper output, use higher-resolution source images (at least 150 dpi at the final print size)
- Try switching to Full page mode in Auto-pair settings if the image is being constrained by inline flow
Emoji or multilingual text looks wrong
- Keep Windows and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime up to date
- Batch Text to PDF bundles its emoji font; no separate emoji-font download is required
- If a specific writing system or emoji sequence is still missing, send the exact text and the generated PDF to support
Output folder not found
- The output subfolder is created automatically inside your input folder — you do not need to create it first
- If you changed the subfolder name to an absolute path, change it back to a simple name like
pdf - Check that you have write permission to the input folder
App won’t start or crashes on launch
- Check that Windows is up to date; the app requires Windows 10 or later
- Reinstall the app from the Microsoft Store if the issue persists
