What we collect

Personal Workspace is designed to work with files on your computer. It does not require an account, cloud sync, analytics, or telemetry.

What stays on your device

The workspaces, Markdown files, images, and attachments you choose stay in the folders you select. Password-protected content is encrypted for Personal Workspace’s use; the password is not recoverable by Personal Workspace or 3thousand30. Keep it somewhere safe.

Password protection in real encryption mode derives its key with Argon2id. The parameters used are recorded inside the workspace’s own lock file, so a workspace stays openable by future versions of the app. There is no recovery mechanism and no backdoor: if the password is lost, the content cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Local QR file transfer

The optional local file-transfer feature is intended for devices on the same Wi-Fi network and starts only when you generate a transfer QR code. Your PC acts as the temporary server; the phone connects directly to it. 3thousand30 does not receive, relay, inspect, or store the transferred files.

That transfer runs over plain HTTP on your local network, so the file contents are not encrypted in transit. This applies even when the workspace uses password protection: the page is decrypted on your PC before being sent, so anyone able to observe traffic on that network could read it. The transfer is reachable only at a randomly generated address, runs only while you keep it open, and never leaves your local network — but use it only on a network you trust. The transfer page repeats this warning before you send anything.

Microsoft Store and Windows

Microsoft, Windows, and the Microsoft Store may independently collect installation, licensing, reliability, or crash information under their own terms. This policy does not govern data collected by Microsoft or Windows.
