A file was skipped

Signed, encrypted, malformed, and unsupported PDFs are skipped when watermarking would be unsafe. The original file remains unchanged.

The watermark appears in the wrong place

Check page rotation, crop boxes, mixed page sizes, and page ranges. Preview a representative page from each document type before running a large batch.

The watermark is too strong or too faint

Adjust opacity and scale. For tiled proof marks, use lower opacity so the original text remains readable.

The watermark is hidden behind content

Switch from below-content to above-content layering. Some PDFs have opaque backgrounds that cover marks placed below existing content.

Image watermark looks soft

Use a larger source PNG or JPEG. Very small logo files may look blurred when scaled up on large PDF pages.

Output name already exists

The app uses collision-safe names by default. If an output filename already exists, a numbered copy is created instead of overwriting the input or an existing result.
