Play and review

The player cards show who occupies White and Black, whose turn it is, and each clock. The active side is highlighted. The newest move is kept nearest the top while playing so the current position is easy to follow.

Board controls

  • Pause / resume controls AI play.
  • Flip changes the board orientation without changing the game.
  • Resign ends the current match.
  • When an AI move fails, use Retry move or select Switch AI to continue with another profile.

The board marks the last move and gives a king in check a red square. Checkmate, stalemate, resignation, and time results are recorded clearly at the end of the match.

Replay

Every completed game is saved to the game history. Open one to review the board move by move. The start, previous, next, and end controls move through the game; keyboard arrows also step through moves, and Space plays or pauses replay.

PGN and FEN

  • PGN is the standard portable record of a chess game’s moves.
  • FEN is a compact description of one board position. It is useful for analysis or continuing a game in another chess tool.
